We're excited to bring Lost Dog Found back to take the stage on November 16th. With their energetic brand of swing music you're sure to enjoy a great night of dancing.
Lost Dog Found is an eight piece mini-big band that has taken the elements of jump blues, swing, and rockabilly, and created a thumping, swinging sound distinctly their own. They have been on the forefront of the neo-swing revival under way in San Francisco, with their tremendously popular monthly showcase at the Boom Boom Room, their appearances with the Hubba Hubba Revue, and playing to packed houses around the bay area.
The idea behind the band was to modernize the sound of swing beyond the niche market that the genre currently finds itself. Inspired both by his love for the music of the 30's-50's, and by the swing revival bands of the 90's, band leader Stevie Mac focused on creating a modern take that both swing dancers and the average set of ears would become fans of. Lost Dog Found's set is blistering with all original tunes, featuring saucy lyrics, hot backbeats, swinging horn lines, thumping bass, and fiery guitar licks. The band features two lead singers; Chris Hudlow (formerly of the band One of Many), and Jatossha Davis (an American Idol alum), and a four piece horn section (five when Chris Hudlow blows his sax).
